Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit 07/10/2008 Community CPA & Associates, Inc. and The US Immigrant and Minority Entrepreneurs Institute to Host The 2008 Immigrant Entrepreneurship Summit (IES) in Des Moines, Iowa on November 15, 2008. Partnered with Iowa Department of Economic Development Business Development Division and Drake University, Community CPA & Associates, Inc. and Community Tax Clinic, a not-for-profit organization are hosting an one-day conference on Saturday November 15, 2008 at Drake University Olmsted Center – The 2008 Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit (IES). The 2008 Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit’s mission is to bring the immigrant entrepreneurs together to share, to learn, to appreciate. The Summit is where the heart felt successful stories of immigrant entrepreneurs are exhibited; where the true understanding among the different ethic groups are felt, the business survival tips are communicated among immigrant entrepreneurs and the keys to be successful with immigrant population are uncompetitive shared. The Summit consists of opening and closing keynote speakers and four workshops which you can choose from. Each workshop is designed to address the specific financial, accounting, tax, immigration and social issues related to immigrants. The Summit will consist of four workshops from the following topics: 1. Can I start a business with an ITIN One of the speakers for this year’s forum is Ying Sa, CEO of Community CPA & Associates, Inc. Ying will share her knowledge and experiences with the attendees; it is our guarantee that her speech will inspire your mind and enrich your knowledge. All the speakers are carefully evaluated by the conference committee and conference organizers. They will address the various realms of immigrant entrepreneurs’ experiences and explore ways in which the immigrant community can apply this knowledge to present and future challenges. At the Summit, we will award outstanding immigrants, community leaders and immigrant advocates. The awards are:

The Summit will be held in Olmsted Center Parents Hall, Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa from 9:00am to 4:00 pm, Saturday, November 15, 2008. The registration fee is $50 for general public and $30 for immigrant-owned business owners. Breakfast and lunch are included.
