Foreign Tax

As a individual, you will encounter foreign tax issues as long as you are not a US citizen. As a business, if you hired VISA workers, invested overseas and set up a branch in another country, you stepped into the kingdom of international taxation.

To give you an idea of what kind of services we are offering, here are the questions we encounter almost daily:

1. I am in United State only part of the year; do I file 1040NR or 1040?

2. What if I am dual-status alien?

3. I am H1 VISA holder, can I start a business?

4. What is ITIN?

5. Can my kids in Mexico be claimed as my dependents?

6. Can I have a business under ITIN?

7. I have a rental property in China but live in US for 3-month/yr and live in Canada 9-month/yr, how many taxes should I file?

8. My company sends me to China this fall and now what is going to happen to my tax?

9. I have a excellent employee. But he can not work anymore unless my business is going to sponsor him for H1B VISA, can you tell me whether my company is qualified to sponsor him? What are the additional things my company needs to do to make this happen?

10. I am J1 holder, what do I do with my tax?
